American rapper J Cole to play pro-basketball with Rwanda side Patriots BBC



Report reveals that american grammy-winning rapper, Jermaine Lamarr Cole AKA J Cole will be participating in new Basketball Africa League while playing with Rwanda side Patriots BBC.

He  said to be in quarantine in Rwanda ahead of the season opener match taken place in sunday

The league will hold between May 16 and 30 at the Kigali Arena and the Patriots BBC will be facing Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers, Tunisia’s US Monastir, and GNBC of Madagascar in Group A of the tournament.

The Patriots was founded in 2014 by a collective of top corporate figures, the Patriots quickly won Rwanda’s National Basketball League in 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.

Therefore the Patriots’ head coach Alan Major has reveal that J Cole will be part of his team.



While J Cole will draw more than enough attention to the club, the Patriots will be counting on Aristide Mugabe it star player  to advance in the tournament.

Apart from J Cole, the Patriots has also signed Brandon Costner, Bush Wamutoka, and Prince Ibeh Chinenye ahead of the competition.

The New Basketball Africa League is the first professional league run by the NBA outside North America

The league will be featuring 12 clubs from 12 African countries which are Tunisia, Egypt, Angola, Morocco, Senegal, Nigeria, Algeria, Cameroon, Mali, Mozambique, Madagascar, and Rwanda.

The BAL which  was initially scheduled to gold in March 2020 in Dakar, Senegal but it was halted by the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic
